Built Around Squat, Bench and Deadlift

The Bells of Steel Powerlifting Bar pairs a stiff 29mm shaft with aggressive knurling for heavy strength training. Centre knurling helps the bar stay in place during squats, while powerlifting knurl marks provide a consistent reference for hand positioning.

Its full-length 2,200mm design, 20kg bar weight and 430mm loadable sleeves give you a familiar setup for the three main powerlifts. Bushings and snap rings provide controlled sleeve rotation.

Finish Options

  • Barenaked: bare steel shaft with hard chrome sleeves. Bare steel develops a natural patina and needs regular care.
  • Black Cerakote: the black finish option listed by Bells of Steel.

What's Included

One barbell in the selected finish. Plates, collars and other equipment pictured are not included.

Care

Bare steel requires cleaning, drying and light oiling to manage surface oxidation. Use a nylon brush or microfibre cloth on Cerakote-coated surfaces and avoid abrasive metal contact.

Love the bar, shipping was super fast for the power bar, deadlift was a little slower but still fast. Both bars are amazing. My gym was not climate controlled when I got them and stupid me left chalk on them which absorbed moisture and then got some surface rust. Cleaned that up and clear coated them so now they are good to go. Hit 501 bench and 733 deadlift as well as a 700 squat with the power bar. Put them to the test and they passed with flying colours. Great bars, great company, highly recommend! Just wish they made squat bars so I could have the whole collection

This is a solid, no-nonsense power bar that excels at the big four lifts—squat, bench, overhead press, and deadlift. It feels stiff, secure, and inspires confidence under heavy loads. The aggressive knurling provides excellent grip and makes squats especially stable with the center knurl, but for heavy deadlifts I personally prefer a bar with slightly less aggressive knurling, as this one can be a bit harsh on the hands over high-volume sessions. That said, the bar itself is incredibly well built and took everything I threw at it without any issues.
If you’re looking for a durable, IPF-style power bar at a great price, this is an easy recommendation.

I love this bar and the cheese grater knurling. Definitely is a world of difference compared to my prior walmart bar. The knurling is aggressive just like how I like it and I like the tolerances of the bar. It really feels like one piece rather than how other bars would rattle a lot. It was also packaged very well as there was no damages to the bar I received. It was packaged so well that I use the packaging as a cover over my pin pipe safeties on my current rack!

I figured it would be more agressive than the knurling on my old bent bar. I also figured "cheese grater" was some nice marketing. I wasn't fully prepared. Pulled 405 with a double overhand grip for the first time. Normally I would switch to hook grip well before the 4th plate. My thumbs are not very happy with me right now, but I will slowly shred them into compliance with this bar. The wide harsh center knurling has kept the bar pinned to my back in the squat and doesn't whip at all with weights that my old bar would already be bending with. Super happy, and I hope plenty of others get the same experience. A+

P.s. I bought an SS3 about 2 years ago and it has also been absolutely incredible. Well done BoS.

The Onyx Powerlifting Cerakot Bar is great. I purchased my own power bar to use in a commercial gym because the quality of a power bar is just better than your typical commercial olympic bar. The knurling is amazing for any/all lifts, the bar can be used for practically any lift, and it's also aesthetically pleasing as well. Some other gym members ask me about it often since it stands out compared to the other bars the gym has. The quality for the price is out of this world. If you need a quality power bar or any other high-quality gym equipment without absolutely breaking your bank, Bells of Steel is the way to go!
