A Rackable Bar for Smaller Training Spaces

The Bells of Steel Short Rackable Barbell brings a familiar 28.5mm grip to a compact 1,753mm overall length. It saves space around your lifting area while remaining rackable on suitable racks up to approximately 49 inches wide.

Dual weightlifting and powerlifting knurl marks support a range of hand positions for squats, presses and pulls. Light knurling suits regular training, while centre knurling adds contact at the middle of the shaft for squatting.

Designed for Everyday Strength Work

The black zinc shaft and sleeves create a matching finish. Bushings and snap rings provide controlled sleeve rotation, with a supplier-rated static capacity of 900lb / 408kg. The shorter 200mm loadable sleeves make plate thickness an important consideration when planning your loads.

I've been struggling with my standard 7ft bar for years. My home gym is big enough for it, but barely. Found this barbell for an amazing price and pulled the trigger after researching every option imaginable. I thought the lighter weight would bother me but loading it up for my deadlifts made me like it even more! Much easier to handle and much easier to move around the gym. I am petite, but my very tall son likes it too. Fits perfectly on the rack and easier to put on the wall hanger!

The barbell came and genuinely was the exact perfect size to allow me to bench and squat in my narrow gym. The tolerances are tight snd the bar feels excellent and the knurling is excellent. I have nothing negative to say about this bar except find a catchy name for it so its easier to find. Took me some research and I hope other people in a similar situation find this and resolve their space issues with it. I have 74 inches of space and can benchy comfortably if I keep my bar path smooth.

This bar is awesome for a small home gym. The shorter sleeves are not a problem for me, I'm not strong enough to max them out even with bumper plates. The knurling is definitely on the passive side but in the acceptable range for me. It has good, tight tolerances and a nice even finish. I use mine with a Giant Lifting 2x2 rack and it makes for a great setup. Worth it's price, no doubt.

I absolutely love this bar. I was sceptical at first to be honest. After lifting with traditional Olympic bars for literal decades, I didn't think this would "feel" right. After one workout, my worries were proven completely unfounded. This is a solid, quality product as advertised. The space savings is the obvious best part but everything else met my expectations. I downsized to a smaller home gym space and this bar was the key piece of equipment to make the whole thing really work. Highly recommend!

Use this bar with my smith machine home rack attachment. I have limited space at the sides of my squat rack and this bar saves me some space. It still allows me to load up to 365 lbs of bumper plates with magnetic collars. It only weighs 29 lbs so you have to remember that the weight being lifted is actually 15 lbs less than a regular full length bar. Overall, this is a super practical little bar with light knurling.
