Y Dip Bar Attachment

Mounted the Hydra Y Dip Bar in back of my half rack using two BoS Hydra Rear Base Stabilizers and a 43 inch crossmember. Rack and Y Dip Bar are rock solid. I keep it mounted so I just need to roll bench out of the way.

Easy to install and of very good quality

I was worried about the fit, but having the choice of 3 with clear measurements made it easy. I went the Manticore and it's perfect. Don't even need the locking pin, it's so snug (but still use it of course). Shipping interstate took one day! Yes, that's not a typo. Solid quality product... let the gainz begin.

Great Dip Station with a real comfortable angle, grip tube diameter is perfect and much heavier than I had expected. Top quality to be sure.

I did a ton of research into the various dip bars available on the market and specifically wanted something with:

- High rated weight capacity (>500 lb)
- Could store vertically without an additional mount
- Had UHMW protective layers
- Could "slide" into a rack like a jcup


The BoS attachment was the clear winner including all of these features, with a great price point. However, I have a REP PR 5000 (which is a metric 3x3 rack, using 75mm width and 50mm hole spacing instead of true 3" and 2", respectively).

I am very pleased to report that the included pop pin fits without issue, though quite snugly, on my PR5000. I added some furniture pads to the inside of the dip station to further reduce side-to-side play, and the unit is now extremely stable.

I also love the fact that it stores vertically and that they were thoughtful enough to add more UHMW where the bar meets the rack when storing in this orientation. Great attention to detail.

It was easy to assemble and it’s pretty solid. This 2.3x2.3 version has some wiggle room when attaching it to the upright, but it holds up very well. Next to the seal row pad, this is a must-have attachment as you can be creative and do plenty of exercises.

Nice BOS cutouts give it a high quality feel. UHMW on the connection to the rack and really nice mag pin. Nice, consistent finish throughout. Highly recommend.

I purchased two 5 ft Hydra vertical uprights plus a Y dip rack attachment to replace a 40 year old free standing dip station that in fairness had served me well. I have a complete garage gym setup but wanted to get a better dipping station for my outside exercise area . These two pieces provided a significant improvement. Thanks guys . Great products.

I needed something to hit the lower pec, and the triceps outside of my usual exercises. For the price, and how solid the attachment is I couldn’t be happier. I put a resistance band to use these as a finisher for my heavy push days starting with flat bench and incline bench. Bells of Steel is a pretty solid equipment manufacturer. Manticore rack is also extremely solid, and same with the leg extension and curl attachment (with some modifications).

No notes on equipment itself, but better storage options would be nice

Wall mounted this with a upright. Packaging and shipping were fast and no issues with damage. If wall mounting you have to add a 5/8 thick board behind the upright or the dip bar will hit the wall when adjusting.

This solid dip bar is strong and well built.
Great for chest and triceps. Really like the flexibility that I also use it for knee and leg raises, so lots of functionality in an excellent value attachment.

Easy build. I'm confident in the build quality. I wish the handles had knurling for grip or a flat edge, as they're slippery at 2" diameter. Easily stores on top of my hydra rack cross-member. End caps are not equally installed, and I can't make them flush with the handles, but I can live with that. I'd pay more for a dip bar with adjustable handles.
It's awesome how versatile this attachment is with the rack, and the BOS video showing exercises with the attachment is great. The pulley system is great with this.

I got this sturdy dip bar attachment for another brand of power rack. My rack is a true 3x3 (not metric equivalent) with 2” hole spacing and the lock pin hole is not in line. Not saying it’s a bad set just be careful if you don’t have a BoS rack!

Solid quality I was reserved at first being a bolt together but it’s solid. However there is a lot of play where I had to shim it then put in my vice with rubber grips to close the gap, now it’s very sturdy. Now for the finish it was packaged very well but it seems like the quality control in china is not that great as it had scratches all over the grip area and cross bar. I know from use it will get to that point but I should be the one to put scratches on it not the manufacturer.
With that said customer support did offer a discount but could respond a little faster.
